Understanding mosquitoes around the home

Welcome to Black Pearl Pest Control, your reliable partner in mosquito pest control. If mosquitoes are keeping you out of the yard, you have come to the right place. This service is outdoor mosquito reduction for Arizona homes. It is not an indoor general pest treatment, and it is not included in a general pest plan.

Mosquitoes are more than a nuisance. They rest in shade and dense shrubs, and they breed in water that sits still. A few at dusk can turn into a yard you cannot use once the season gets going. Knowing where they rest and where the water is sitting is what makes the service hold.

Our mosquito service

We start with the yard. Technicians look at pressure, standing water, gutters, pots, toys, low spots, dense shrubs, shade, and sources next door. Then we place an exterior residual barrier on vegetation, fencelines, eaves, and undersides where the label allows.

Larvicide is used only when it is on the plan you bought, and only in water sites that product is labeled for. We do not broadcast product over water unless the product is labeled for it. We do not fog unless the sold plan says so.

People and pets stay off treated areas until they are dry. Standing water you can dump is your job between visits. That is what keeps the next brood from replacing the adults we just reduced.

Keeping the yard usable through the season

In the Valley and in Globe, the working season is April through October. The visit we lead with is every 3–4 weeks. Monthly is the other regular cadence. If pressure is still heavy and you have dumped the water you can control, call us before the next scheduled visit.

Homes over 3,000 square feet are quoted by the office before we book. Do not let mosquitoes take the yard. Contact Black Pearl Pest Control and we will look at the property and put the right outdoor plan on it.

4 Steps to Help with:
Mosquitos

Inspect

The first step is a close look at mosquito pressure around the home. Black Pearl technicians check standing water, gutters, pots, toys, low spots, dense shrubs, shade, and neighbor sources that keep feeding the yard. That tells us where adults are resting and where the next brood is coming from.

Protect

Protection is the part you can do between visits. Dump and drain water you can reach, keep screens tight, and cut back dense harborage where mosquitoes sit through the day. We will point out the spots that are yours to empty so the treatment has a chance to hold.

Terminate

Treatment is an exterior residual barrier on vegetation, fencelines, eaves, and undersides where the label allows. If larvicide is on the plan, it goes only in labeled water sites. We do not broadcast product over water unless that product is labeled for it. This is outdoor mosquito reduction, not an indoor general pest service, and we do not fog unless the plan you bought says so.

Maintain

Mosquito season here runs April through October. Most homes stay ahead of it with a visit every 3–4 weeks; monthly is the other regular option. If pressure is still heavy after a visit and you have dumped the water you can control, call us before the next scheduled visit. Homes over 3,000 square feet are quoted by the office before we book.

Mosquitoes may be small, but their impact can be significant. Whether it's causing a nuisance or posing a health risk, a mosquito infestation is a problem that needs to be addressed promptly and effectively. With Black Pearl Pest Control, you can rest assured that you're getting the best in mosquito pest control.
